Default CAI and Throttle Body

Hi everyone,...i recently got my first vehicle about a month ago. It is a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 single cab with the V6 3.9L automatic engine.

It has 126,xxx miles and it runs good. Recently got flowmaster turndowns installed and they sound much better than stock exhaust.

I was looking to get a cold air intake and a throttle body kit for my truck.

This is the throttle body: http://www.autoanything.com/products...1&v_id=1908097
This is the cold air intake: http://www.autoanything.com/products...7&v_id=1901478

I was just looking to get a little more power out of my mere 175hp.....and trying to keep the cost under 400$.

If anyone has any better ideas for that kind of money,....or knows another site with the products im looking at for better prices,..please help me out here.

Thanks alot

Scrap that,...what do you guys think would be the easiest way to gain performance at a reasonable cost?

Forget about the throttle body spacer.....just get a new throttle body thru Fastman.

I personaly have no experience with volare...but i know some Ram owners have used them....you should post that question in the Ram Forum. Personally i'd go with either K&N or airRaid.

I am running an AFE CAI and a Poweraid spacer. Spacer useage can vary depending on the vehicle and driver. I noticed zero gain in mpg, but I did notice a crisper and quicker throttle response. I know a couple of people with TB spacers who have seen mpg gain as well as performance gains. It all depends and is subjective.

I don't know if there is an AFE for the 3.9, I like this ten times better than K&N. Expect to pay under $400.00 for both items.
