I know that a header will make a difference, but the one I had on my '99 Neon R/T was the chrome Mopar Performance and not the OBX. The high flow cat and underdrives will also make a difference, but you will only notice the benefit of the underdrives at the track, it won't be enough of an improvement that it will be felt like the others.

Ok it's a completely different car, but I totally disagree. I didn't feel any difference with headers/highflow cat/catback in my Impreza, but I did notice that it sounded a lot better. Correction, it pulled to the fuel cutoff a little better, but I think that was more the CAI's doing. When I installed my underdrive pulley there was a drastic difference in engine throttle response. It gained and lost revs a lot quicker.

I have no idea how much because I didn't buy it, the previous owner did. However, I see header prices from $100-$250 for the Neon. The Iceman intake will give you the best bank for your bucks.

Your right, the Impreza is completely different and it will take very differently to the same type of mods, what works great for one will not work great for the other.

The honest truth, the best header you can get for that neon is made by Fast fabrications. i think he is not making thme anymore but you might drop him a line. His headers are dynoyed at least 10 WHP over the ones you buy from companies. You might be able to pick some up used at neons.org or neonsonline.com His website is also fastfabrications.com. But those are the very best, no one makes any comparable.
