Installed Intake
I have read some discussion on the intakes you can get off ebay for the Ram 4.7L. Here is my opinion since I received mine yesterday and put it on my 03 Ram 4.7L 4X4 QC SB lastnight. First of all for the price I payed ($43.00 shipping included) the product is descent. As far as the aluminum tubing it was put together quite well. I did have to use some fabricating skills to hook everything up but it was not that bad. I'm sure if you pay the $200 plus for the name brand it will go on with no problem. Like I said it wasn't bad, took me about an hour. I have the one that is an aluminum tubing and hooks right up to throttle body and at the end is conical filter. You will definately hear the hissing sound from under the hood. As far as performance gain....YES......I really noticed a gain in power. Now I also have a Flowmaster with 3" tailpipe as well and this combo works very well together. When I put it to the floor you can definately hear the engine breath better. I have ran this kind of intake set up on two other cars I've had a 90 Mustang 12.54 et and a 91 Mustang 11.89 et both were naturally aspirated and this intake set up worked well so I thought I would try it on my truck and I am happy with the results. I hope this helps someone out.
