Ok....so lets do a quick vote from people's experience...lets rate the loudness of these exhausts from loudest to quietest..

Is it:

1. Flowmaster
2. Borla
3. Mopar

???

Well all the exhaust can be relatively quiet, as long as you don't punch on it... If you are talking about riding inside and not hearing the exhaust too much... our flows are pretty quiet, can be more quiet than the stock exhaust at some points, or just as loud!

Ok, for example....my 4-banger (turbo) has a 2.5-3 inch exhaust, no cat, high flo muffler.....there is an awful drone at 3000-5000 rpms, right where my cruising rpms are. This is the type of thing I want to avoid. Obviously when you "get on it" anything will be a bit louder...

Well every exhaust system is going to get a little louded when the engine is cranking out more RPMs, but the Flowmaster exhaust is still pretty quiet for a performance exhaust.

Guess I'll have to scour the internet for .wav or .mp3 of the different exhausts.

I would pick the Flowmasters first and the Mopar Performance second. You can custom tailor the sound level with the Flowmasters(which series mufflers you get 40, 50, 60, etc.). You cannot beat the Flowmaster sound behind a V-8, I have the 50 series Flowmasters on my Roadrunner with a full 3" dual aluminized mandrel bent exhaust from the headers collectors back. My R/T has the Mopar Performance cat-back and I also love the sound of it, but for a V-8 you gotta get Flowmaster. They have sound samples on their website, check them out.

I love the sound of my Mopar Cat-Back I sure wouldn't trade it for the flowmaster sound you hear on every other pick up truck. Got to be different!!
Listen to it here.

It would not be comparable. The Mopar Performance cat-back exhaust is on a Neon R/T 2.0L DOHC with the Mopar Performance chrome header and running on Sunoco Ultra 94. The Flowmasters are just the mufflers on my Roadrunner and my Roadrunner has Tube Technologies Inc. 3" dual aluminized mandrel bent exhaust and running on 110 octane Cam2 leaded race fuel. I do know that you can get the Flowmasters in different sound levels and they have comparison to stock graphs to show you how it compares to the stock exhaust sound levels inside and outside the vehicle. The Mopar Performance one sounds great as well though. It's just something that you will have to hear and chose because they will sound different on different vehicles.
