Hello. Just bought my truck a week ago. I want to get some kind of exhaust or muffler for my truck. My buddy is telling me to just get a 40 series flowmaster muffler. I want something that sounds good, yet isn't annoying loud, and doesn't rob hp or fuel milage. Am I asking for alot?? I don't have a clue. What are your opinions as far as sound and performance goes? Flowmaster, Dynomax, Borla, Magnaflow?????? Thanks...... I've got a 2002 5.9 QC 4x4......

 

Since you don't want it excessively loud, I would go with the 50 series Flowmaster, it has a deep and mellower tone than the 40 series.

 

I'm the one that posted the flowmaster article "Installed Flowmaster". Definatley get the 50 Series SUV/TRUCK muffler from Flowmaster. I had a 40 Series one for only one day and couldn't take it. You will love the 50 Series. Once you get it on let us know what you think.
