Default Confused about CP Filters

Does any one know if CP makes goods filters? I just installed a dreamspeed2 intake made by CP products on my 04 stratus sxt coupe. On outside of the intake box it says that it contains a filter made by KandN and an intake made by CP. but on the filter box it says that the filter is manufactured by CP product. So which one is it?

It has CP on top of the filter itself. I don't see KandN anywhere on it.

Does it atleast look like a K&n air filter, kind of a reddish purple color.

No it is chrome on the end and the filter material looks like a metallic mesh.
