I had them on my '68 Mustang. The thing was so light that I couldn't tell if I'd lost torque, but the sound was great. The sound from inside was something like glasspacks with a touch less rap and no popping, from the outside it was like a much louder, more burbly turbo muffler. It was definitely on the loud side, though certainly far from open header loud. I set off alarms multiple times - once even on the other end of the parking garage! - and the cops definitely pay you some attention. I have also had many people roll up their windows at a light when they're sitting next to me . Part of that is because I had the exhaust exiting out the sides just in front of the rear wheels, too though.

Overall, if you like loud but don't want header loud, these split the difference nicely.
