Question about a custom Borla
I loved the sound of my last Borla exhaust, but it was on an Impreza (loud for a 4 cylinder). I want to make sure that while I'm piecing together my custom system that I'm using the right diameters and I have a muffler strong enough to keep the cops off my ***.
So far this is all I could figure:
3" stainless all the way down, Magnaflow High flow cat, Borla Muffler.
Should I go for a resonator too?
Will the high flow cat throw a check engine with the sensors appropriately placed?
3" enough?
Am I really going to get enough gains in using a double setup instead?
PS- Don't tell me it's cheaper to go with something else, A magnaflow High flow cat here is like $80 cdn, the piping is all about $150 mandrel bent, I just have to get hangers welded.
I'm driving a Ram 5.9 Auto Reg cab, short bed.
I HAVE done enough research on this forum and others, it's just that hearing it from the source is of more interest to me.

The Borla Cat-Back system on my 05' HEMI is nice, its not overly lound but not super quiet. When your sitting at a light you can barely hear a small deep rumble but as soon as you step on it it gives you a great crisp and clean performance tone. Now I dont know how well they will sound with a high flow Cat but it should make it a little bit louder which would sound really nice.
