hey guys im new here, i just have a question about exhaust. i have a cold air intake which makes a nice sound accelerating. i wana remove the resonator but dont know if it will be to loud or what, will i gain anything!?! i dont have the money for a muffler right now so any help would be good, thanx... oh and by the way its the 2.4L

 

yeah it will make your intake loud as hell. i always loved the sound. but you will also take in hot engine air. good for a -1hp or so loss. so its all good man. unless your a serious racer.

 

no no i mean the exhaust resonator. right b4 the muffler lol. sorry for the confusion i worded it wrong

 

my 05 4.7 dak had two resenators.i cut the hole system off and went with the single 3 inch catback. what a nice sound. and without the res. you will see and improvement in low end torque. so go ahead and cut it. then straight pipe it back up. it will be louder but not annoyingly louder
