Well then I only have one solution for you, do-it-yourself.[sm=itsok.gif] It sounds harder than it actually is. You will need to get some stainless steel pipe sections, both straight and mandrel bent, preferably mandrel U bends. Get some stainless steel tubing the right size for the vacuum lines to fit tightly on, since they will be needed to attach the vacuum lines to the CAI. Naturally you will need to measure to see exactly what size pipe you need. You will also need a pipe cutter that will cut the size pipe you get and a drill. You will need to take measurements and determine where you are going to route the piping to as well as making a note of where all the sensors and vacuum lines are attached to the factory air box and piping. You will probably need to remove all the factory stuff to take the measurements and decide the route. Then comes the fun part, you will need to start cutting the piping using the mandrel bent sections for the changes in direction. After everything has been cut, use duct tape to hold the pieces of pipe together and make sure everything fits the way you want and mark the pieces so that when you remove the tape you can align the pipes properly. Don't forget about where the sensors and vacuum lines are going to attach to the self made CAI and drill out the holes the proper size. After all this is done, then it's off to an exhaust shop to have them weld it all together. Make sure to take into account the cone filters size for the end of the CAI pipe, you can use a reducer if need be to get it the right size to attach your filter of choice. The only thing left would be a hose to attach the CAI to the throttle body and perhaps a mounting bracket or tab to use an existing bolt to mount the CAI to keep it from bouncing around in the engine compartment.

After everything is welded and fitted to make sure it's perfect you can make it look like a very professional job by either painting it, having it powder coated or chromed. If you make good enough notes while doing this, you can make a good bit of money by producing more and selling them. Since nobody makes one for the Intrepid, you could get it patented and have that market monopolized with yours being the only one available.[sm=ts.gif][sm=interesting.gif][sm=goodidea.gif][sm=exactly.gif]

Not a problem, I just hope it is of use to you. I know that if there were no CAI's available for my car, then I would try making my own. Not only would it be fun and [sm=interesting.gif], but there would be such a feeling of accomplishment and pride when it is finished. Not only that, but when people ask where you got it after all the compliments and I cannot imagine self esteem boost when you feel and hear the resulting power gains from it. And don't forget the possibility of making money from doing it as well.[sm=goodidea.gif][sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley2.gif]
