Hello everyone! I am a first time dodge owner and am very happy with my 2003 dodge. It is a 5.9LSLT 1500 QC and was wondering about flowmaster. I just talked to the guy at the local exhaust shop and i beleive i am going with the flowmater series 40. I am going to have duals coming straight out the back. Now for my two questions. One, will this sound good? And two, they are going to be 3" chrome tips...is stainless steel better or is chrome the way to go? Thanks for the advice, i really need your opinions!! By the way i am being charged around 320$ For the installation + parts (the whole deal)... is this decent pricing? Thanks again!!

 

I have the set up you are getting plus the ss tips but mine are 4 1/2.Sounds great.I don't care for the ss tips after I got them,They seem to get dirtier than chrome and do not shine like chrome.I would suggest you go with chrome but you may weight your options b/c ss will last for ever and chrome only last as long as you make it(keepin it clean always).As far as price I know muff shops were I live think their flows are gold and we can usually get them at a local performance shop cheaper on a cash and carry,last onesI boughtI gave 55 a peice for the 40s.I usually expect to pay between 150-200 on a custom bend job,but of course that could be that I live around a lot of small towns and know some of the techs.Remember the best deal you can get is the one you think is the best not always cheaper.Good Luck, Ramblin

 

i have the same set up .. flowmaster 40 delta series ..320 is the avg price... go with the SS tips ...u can see what i have by looking at my signature and click the link and listen to it...
