I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 5.9L 360 with an FIPK cold air intake...

as of right now i have a magnaflow muffler on it... I love maglnaflows deep sound.... I am planning on redoing my exhaust within the next month though... This wont be cheap but heres the plan...

First of all im going to remove my cat...
Replace the manifolds with Gibson headers
Run the headers to an X pipe....
Then to two short magnaflow mufflers... 14 inch (most likely)




I'm not sure if I wanna dump it or have it come out the back... I want to hear myself in the cab, but I also love a great sounding truck.... What do you guys think?

Any comments on what you may think it will sound like.... are appreciated.

 

I'm thinking either way you go, dump or out the back, you'll be able to hear the exhaust from inside the cab. With running out the back you'll be able to carry a conversation inside the cab, and wont want to put a bullet in your head on long trips.

 

GO for it man, Dump it...........or run a side pipe
