Default Woodgrain (real wood) dash applaques...

When I first got this truck... I thought 'wood' would look nice. It's one of the few things I've regretted. It's a Daytona Dash rosewood applaque... stick-on type. It's really GOOD 3M glue. Takin' it off would be a mess. I've thought of overpainting it wrinkle finish black. Anybody ever removed this stuff.... or painted it afterward?

I dont have the trim in my truck like your talking about but in my last car it had the woodgrain package and I hated it. They sold the aluminum package aftermarket for like $650 but I couldnt see spending that much money on 5 pieces of trim. So I took it all out of the truck, did some light sanding and sprayed it the same color as the outside of my car, which was silver. I think it looked great, I didnt go all out and do the vents and other stuff because in my opinion that looks terrible. If your truck is black like pictured, a nice gloss black over all that wood trim would probably look really nice. Just dont get crazy with painting everything in there.
