Default carb swap

hello everyone-new to this forum-i recently picked up a 1986 wagoneer(woody) and am looking to restore it first issue is motor-ive heard that the 2.8l v6 can be swapped out w/ the 3.4 or is it 3.8 v6 from the camaros;anyone know if this is true?also until i do swap motors can i use an adapter plate and go from 2 to 4bbl?this is gonna be a long project as it needs a ton of body work so if anyone knows of parts out there please let me know---thanx in advance

Should be all you need to know. You can use an adapter it just not going to be the most powerful or best setup.

Check over at www.NAXJA.org & search for 3.4 swap. A few people have done it & if I remember correctly there is at least 1 write up on it. JIM.
