Default 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited

Hello

I have a 1995 jeep grand cherokee limited, with the 5.2 in it. I have had to replace the thermostat once a year for the last two years and I am going to have to again this month. It always happens around the same time each year. I always put a thermostat right from the dealer in.
I was just wondering if this problem is common or if there is something else I should look for?
Thanks for all the help.

welcome to DF...

no it's not common, go to Napa and get one from them. Drill a very small air bleed hole in the diaphram before installing it. I've put 200k on the magnum motors and have yet to have a t-stat fail on me. another thing to consider is when you swap it out, flush the motor before you do the install. make sure you use distilled water on the re-fill. this prevents sludge from building on the inside of the motor/radiator.
