Default AX 15

Hey guys.... buddy of mine needs an AX15 for a '93 YJ.... anyone? Also, would it be that hard to rebuild with a kit? He dumped it on its side, and lost tranny fluid, and then it started making all this horrible noise, and not going into some of the gears....

if you can find a rebuild kit and have all the tools and experience, then yes, you can DIY. i suggest that you buy a rebuild with a 12 month warranty instead. http://www.tellico4x4.com/product_in...ducts_id/29722

i rebuilt mine and it was a real pain in the ***. by the time it was all said and done, i had more into it than the above rebuild.

If youve got replace a tranny, might as well upgrade to the NV3500. Cant speak for the AX-15, but the AX-5 used in 4cyls is completely inadequate even for that motor. My '95 rio puked up 5th gear at 89K miles.
