Default Ram guy question for jeeps guys

I have a RAM 1500 with the 9.25 rear end. I'm looking to swap out my factory LSD before it has a chance to jack up my truck. I'm looking at the Auburn or the Detroit True Track. Nobody new if the Detroit was any good. So I was wondering if any of you jeeps guys knew if it was any good or crap. Thanks

Well since my '02 GC Overland has electronic lockers front and rear, I'll have to answer this from my Dodge truck knowledge. I have had an Auburn Gear for a couple of years now, works great. Locks up when I need it and I don't know it's there when I don't. At the time I did my gears and LSD, I posted on a couple of other forums (wasn't on this one yet). I got feedback from a few who had problems with the TruTrac. Like shredded in their rear end problems. I inquired about this at 4 Wheel Parts, where Iultimatelybought my gears and LSD and had the labor done. I stated that I wanted the TruTrac but read about some bad experiences. They replied by showing me two in taped up boxes waiting to go back to Detroit, that were indeed bad. So, they recommended the Auburn unit, and that's what I got.
Now, I've not heard anything bad about them since, and can only assume that whatever the issue was back then was an isolated one aned was rectified. As a matter of fact, that same store recently recommended the Detroit unit to a friend of mine stating that unlike the Auburn unit, the TruTrac never wears out. Now I've had clutch type LSD's in trucks of mine for well over 100k miles and they still worked as good as new, so I don't know how long it takes to wear one out.
As far as I am concerned, both are a huge improvement over stock and you really can't go wrong with either...
