97 cherokee o2 problems

97 cherokee o2 problems
4.0l engine
it had a check engine light
found the downstream o2 wires riped out of the o2 sensor, replaced with new bosch direct replacement
it seems to be worse on gas than before
200,000 miles on engine
could the upstream be reading to slow or low and throwing the computer off or do the jeeps have problems with aftermarket o2 sensors
the upstream o2 sensor is factory
any help or advise is highly appreciated
