If you don't like the looks of those plastic blobs onyour otherwise robust looking Wrangler, remove them. Plastic end caps are available to finish off the ends as of 2006 on the 2006 Wrangler / TJ "X". The caps cost less than $5.00 each. Mine were in the order of $3.00 each a couple of years back. Remember to ask for the ones to fit the 2006 Wrangler / TJ "X". My Jeep is a 2003 TJ and the caps fit great.
