Does anybody have the info on how to go about doing this swap in a 97 wrangler?

This is going to be my brothers project.

you have to change the whole drive line and change out engine mounts I believe. I looked into this for my friend.

well i can tell ya one thing. you dont have to change out the whole driveline. the engine will fit in with motor mount changes. you might have to change the tranny, for a stronger jeep one. i would try to get a 4.0/tranny combo.

if you do this, mind you the stock 4.0 rearends are 3.07, the stock 2.5 rearends are 4.11. that said, you can turn a much larger tire with the 4.0/4.11 combo. you can go to a 33" tire and at stock rpms too.

if you choose to keep the stock size tires on with the 4.0/4.11 combo, you will be in a very high rpm range all the time. gas mileage will suck.
