Default CD won't eject

I have a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the CD player is not responding when eject is pressed. It has a single, in-dash, CD player. Any options or is it just time to replace it with an after market CD player?

Replace it! Same thing happened in my '05 Rubicon. I waited a while and finally got my CD back. After the 1st time that happened, it became a frequent occurrence until I got a new head unit.
