My 08 liberty has become very loud. Sounds like it is coming from the front end, almost sounds like road noise from the tires but much louder. There is a very small vibration and the esp/bas light came on the other night but went off after I shut the jeep off and restarted. I have checked the ball joint fluids and most of the mechanicals in the front. My fear is that it maybe something to do with the esp, which I know nothing about. Is there a common issue that I may not know about? Anyone else had a simular issue? Cody in NY

 

possible a wheel bearing.

 

sounds a lot like a wheel bearing, try swaying back and forth when you drive and see if the noise changes at all
