Grand Cherokee Limited electrical?
Just got a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with all the bells and whistles. Tried programming driver one and two seat positions on door. It accepted programming, but every time I try to change from one to two or vise versa on board cpu says Seat adjustment override, seatbelt fastened. I don't have seat belt fastened though.
I checked the wire connections to the seat belt and they are intact. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it? Any help is appreciated. Also I did not receive any key fobs with the vehicle. I have ordered them and will have dealer program when they get here unless someone knows how I can program them to work on my Jeep. Bad dealer on this part. They won't supply me with new fobs and I can't lock doors without factory alarm arming itself. Have no way to disarm.

I had a 00 WJ Limited V8, but I got rid of it. It had 75,000 miles (which is when problems really start happening). Never had that seatbelt issue though. Sounds like a BCM, they go all the time on the 99-00's
Got the seating fixed and got the key fobs programmed.
Astrom, what are these Real problems you were having?

The biggest problem was the axle's. Jeep uses a d30 and a d44a in the V8 WJ's. Both axles are proned to chew through bearings. Mine were howling and failure was iminent. The transmission was on its way out too. Mine started to rust also along the hood and window fairings (bubbling in the rubber is rust underneath).
They're a nice ride, but damn are they a money pit. I've noticed with Jeeps, between 75K-90K is the average lifespan of most of the Jeeps parts.

I almost forgot the biggest problem. The auto-climate-control fails around 80K. Then you only get freezing cold or boiling hot air out of the vents on 1 side. $1000 fix, and you can't put it off.
I can fix it I am the Dash guy at my dealer I have done ooo 25 or so jep dashes for this U replace some doors that the motors snap off.
