Salvage title on Wrangler?
Hey all,
I got question for all you Jeep owners out there (especially those who go through a lot of water). I'm looking at a 2002 Sahara 4cyl w/ 17K miles. Its only $8,500 at a dealership, but it has a flood salvage title. Now, normally this is a deal breaker for me, but considering its a Jeep and those tend to get pretty wet anyways, I'm still interested in it. The dealer said its able to be registered, so it must have been inspected and cleared, right? Does anyone here have expirence with water logged Jeeps? I've had a few flooded Cherokees at work and they ran forever. Are there any particular things to look for during the inspection or test drive? Tell tale marks, drips or sounds? I'd be paying cash for it, so the no loan on salvage titles isn't a problem. Any help would be great, thanks.
