98 jeep grand electrical issues
here is the list of issues i am having with my 98 jeep grand cherokee:
1. turn signals only work while the jeep is in gear...not park or neutral and not at all if it is in anything but 2wd
2. reverse lights dont work at all...ever...and yes i DID check the bulbs!!!
3. overhead convenience console fuse (15A) blows almost instantly upon replacement
4. intermittent relay "chatter" from fuse panel in passenger compartment... no pattern or rhyme or reason and not under any given conditions.
I am at a loss here if anyone has Any suggestions or input i would greatly appreciate it

Problem #2 for sure and POSSIBLY problem #1 are caused by your Park/Reverse/Neutral Safety switch (sometimes just called Neutral safety switch). If I remember right, the Jeep has them all combined into one switch...but I could be mistaken. It's either out of adjustment or bad. They're often out of adjustment or siezed up, and it's best to see if you can adjust/free up your current one before picking up a new one. They're known to be brittle though, so be careful with it!
The switch controls the power to the backup lights, but it also controls when you can & can't start the vehicle, so be careful when messing around with it.
One some of the Cherokees it can be found on the passenger side. There's 2 bolts holding it on. An adjuster bolt and a larger one towards the bottom. I've only ever had to mess with one on a Cherokee and it was a 2001 model.
As for your electrical problems, I'm not sure. #3 sounds like it could be a ground issue. Problems #3 and 4 could be connected. I'm not real good at electrical troubleshooting though. It's my least favorite problem type [:'(]
