Aux fan 95 cherkoee 4.0L
Hi all,
The girlfrienf bought a 95 cherokee with a 4.0 L yesterday and informed me tonight that today it was running real hot 210 deg.+, It runs hotter when pulling hills or under load. I foung this out at 7:30PM tonight didn't have much time to check but while idling in the driveway I noticed the aux fan never kicked on. even as it ran as hot as 210. The only things I checked were the oil looking for the milky foam of a bad head gasket and the oil looks good and the 30amp fuse in the fuse block that is on the passenger wheel well. Any wisdom anybody can shed here would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx,
Jeff

The aux. fan should come on around 212. Check the fan clutch & the bottom rad. hose. If the hose does not have a spring in it that could be the problem. New hose from the dealer comes with the spring, most others don't. HTH. JIM.
Don't worry, 210 is normal operating temperature for the 4.0. If the aux fan doesn't kick in before 220 you can try this: http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBr...3d80151c7f.jsp
