i think the New Wrangler is flippin ungly...i wont be buying one ever... if i buy a Wrangler it will be a YJ... that was the best Wrangler in my opinion... i still love Jeep...just wont be buying any of the new stuff...except the Commander....
So, is the 2WD unlimited "trail rated"????[sm=lol.gif]
I'll stick with my PW, tows more, more room, winch(although easy to install on jeep), I got a great price on a left over model('bout the same as a rubi. unltd.)
my only disadvantage is size, and yes it's been scratched by branches,[:@] but I can throw a quad in the back for quick trips.
I should be fun, for the normal "it's a Jeep thing" crowd. Have you seen the [sm=icon_beat.gif] at the Jeep sites about the Compass?? Ouch!

The new jeep unlimited i think doesnt do the history of the jeep any justice at all. First off its 4 doors, and they lost the inline 6 which had amazing torque at low rpms. I dont know, personally was dissappointed to see it deviate from what it was. Makes me miss my YJ sure it rode like a tractor, and wandered all over the place, but that adds character and is part of the jeep charm in my opinion.

I liked them a lot. The front fender is kind of bland but otherwise cool vehicle. The back seat has head rests now, very cool. I wish they would install a full rollcage though. The 4 door has lots of leg room in the back. Id be proud to drive one of those things. Throw a lift and some 32's on a 2 door and it would be hot. I havnt driven one yet and read that the 3.8 has less overall power than the old 4.0... so blah... that may ruin them
I won't knock it until I try it. I like to cruise down to the auto places and take a test run with their new rigs. I test drove the FJ Cruiser when it came out, but didn't like it, and I will probably test drive the Unlimited once our local dealership gets one (haven't seen one on the lot, yet).
As for looks, it looks fine. I'd rather have my Waggy any day, but I am not disappointed.
