My brother was driving the duster the other day and something happened that caused the tranny to get stuck in 5th gear.the stick moves back and forth and not out of gear. the tranny shop says its gonna be a $500 job...ouch.[:@]

 

The stick moves back and forth still, does it actually go through all the shift pattern still? It could be a broken shift fork.

 

Shift rod/linkage probably popped off.
