I'm trying to find the best way to get some more power out of my 19942.5 TBI sundance, The car was given to me and all we had to do was put a new fuel pump in the tank.I've looked around anddon't think the 2.5 has much for performance parts any ideas would be appreciated, i was thinking of finding a turbo 2.5 and swapping ehxuast/turbo/wiring harness over to my car. The other option is rebuilding a 3.0 V6 sitting in our junk daytona (17x,xxx miles). if i were to rebuild this engine i figure it would need at least new Bearings/seals throughout the engine and rings(it smoked). the problem with this is I really enjoy my 5spd and the daytona is auto, how hard would finding a manual transmission for this car be?What would probably need to beswitched? CV shafts, motor mounts, front suspension? also would the wiring harness for the auto daytona work with a manual tranny? Thanks for any help on this

 

Your best bet is to find a 3.0 shadow with the 5 speed. But I have done a tbi to turbo swap and isn't hard. Find an 92 turbo harness. Your stock 5 speed should be strong engough if you keep mild. You would need turbo clutch and pressure plate. Your driveshalfts will work with any motor trans you choose if it 87 and newer trans. You could take the turbo part of the harness and add it to your current one and use an turbo sbec to run it.
