Who's rebuilt a 2.5L 4Cyl?
1990 2.5L inline 4 cylinder with TBI. I see lots of books for rebuilding the V8 mopars, but nothing "dedicated" on this engine (except a turbo 2.2 book). I have the Haynes manual on the Spirit which has an engine/head chapter.
If anyone has any tips, let me know. After 200K miles, should the oil pump be okay, orshould I replacewith a new one? Stuff like that.
Thanks
Lee

Things you need to check
ALL gaskets and seals, check rod bearings and main bearings for wear (with a micrometer) and compare to original specs, check the crank for any sag (always store cranks standing upright on the flywheel) you need to hone the cylinders and check pistons/rings, also clean off any deposits on the valvesfrom exhuast gasses with an old valve. clean out any coolant passages, etc. etc. and theres your crash course on engine rebuilding.(as told by a 17 year old)
