I have a 1986 Plymouth Horizon that I have had for years. It is just an extra car that I have. Now that my son is 16 I was going to let him drive it. The problem I have is that recently the Ignition key has been lost.

My question is there a code or some kind of ID I can go to the dealer with to get a replacement key, or do I have to replace the switch or have a locksmith come and replace it.

I would appreciate any feedback.

RE: Plymouth Horizon
could try getting a new lock from a junk yard. Not hard to change out. I just did this to my Rampage (same column).

RE: Plymouth Horizon
Call your local dealership and ask them if there is a code or if and how you can go about replacing the key.
