I have a 93 shadow that my wife got back in 95, i've grown to love this car and have decided to restore it (supe it up).... i have been reading about the neon head swap and am very interested, but now i am thinking that if it is possible i would like to just replace the entire engine and tranny with a newer neon eng/tranny. i currently have a 2.5L non-turbo with auto trans, and it is my daily driver and i am planning on just buying a used engine and trans and doing a complete rebuild for either choice.
i would appreciate any opinion or advise from anyone with experience or knowledge, thanks

 

I don't know much about neon drivetrains but if you want ease of a swap and power without a turbo go with a 3.0 that came stock in some shadow and sundance.

 

Do a turbo upgrade. Cheapest bang for the buck. Lots of drivetrains on turbododge.com for sale.
