Hi everyone. I'm new to foums and I've been dealing with this problem for some time now and I just cant figure it out. I have a 93 Sundance Duster with the 6g72 a/t. When I go directly from idle to wot, the engine falls on its face. I can feel it atempting to climb through the rpms but doesn't get power back till 1/2 way through 2nd gear!! It's driving me crazy because that's where all the power is in this car. I have the 52 mm tb, but replaced with stock, no fix...So far I've tried cleaning the injetors, tb, tune-up, the usual. on top of needing to replace the coil, distributor, cap and rotors, map sensor, tps is fine, compression is great, new heads (valve guide problem lol), played with the timing some but no success. The motor runs rough at about 2000 rpms, but when i start at normal throttle and then punch it after about 2000rpms it runs better (still lacking some tho). If ANYOME could please help me on this...it would be insanely appreciated. I'm out of ideas.

 

it may be you need a new fuel filter and the engine is struggling to get fuel through an old filter so it is bogging down. get a second opinion on this before you buy a new filter, it happened on my buddies car but it may not be the same in your case becasue he did a bunch of stuff all at once and then it worked but he is almost positive that it was his filter.
