i found a 85 plymouth k car for sale and was wondering what i need to look for as in problems etc.it is a 4 door and has a dent on the rt rear dear and a small dent on trunk lid above the key hole.the driver side is the only one with a mirror and has been screwed on and for some reason it has a toggle switch on the dash.the inside looks nice but dirty and the paint is silver and in bad shape on top.is this a fuel injected or a carb motor and he wants $675.00 and just got it in the other day.it is missing a hubcap and needs tires and the motor is oily underneath thanks

 

I own an 87 Aries coupe, and heres what I can tell you:

First the one thing that goes and is a pain to find a replacement for (they are out there) is the brain box, this goes the car wont start.

You probably have fuel injection. You have a 2.5L they do tap as long as it has power and the coolant and oil are at correct levels its fine, the tap is a characteristic of the 2.5

The Ks are becoming rare and are starting to be considered collectable, but if your looking for a driverat $675 and you get a year out of it its worth it, as parts you can make some cash off it.
