Default My 93 Shadow ragtop

My Shadow has a 2.5 litre - 5 Speed Getrag. It was, we believe, a former 2.2 litre turbo car. Had all new brakes and lines installed, needs new canvas and a hole fixed on drivers floor.

Hey guys, I work at a library and a patron is trying to find out how many 1991 Dodge shadow Convertibles were made and I was wondering if you guys could help me out with that?

I've tried searching around the internet for a while but I couldn't even come close to finding a number.

Thanks for any help you can give!

Shadow convertibles were made only from the Highline and ES models. In 1991, there were 1,938 2.5 turbo ragtops, about 71% of which had automatic transmissions. Altogether, 1991 saw 17,307 Highline ragtops and 27,031 ES ragtops.

You did very well. I just paid $1700. alone just to have new brakes, pads, drums, rotors and lines installed on my 1993 Dodge Shadow ragtop. I still need to repair a hole on the drivers floor and get a new roof installed on my car.

Default gotta love my '93 Shadow

I have a 1993 Dodge Shadow 2.5L. I was EXTREMELY lucky to find this car - it cost me only $865 (talked down from $1000) and had only 55,000 miles. It's all pretty much original, and runs pretty good. The biggest fix I've had to do on it was the A/C (spent $300 to get it completely fixed) and a tire. It could use a new fuel filter, but overall it's doin' fine!

It's missing two hubcaps (both in the front), but I intend to buy some rims for it soon. I also have contemplated doing something to improve power... but haven't been able to decide just yet. I have 79,000 miles on the car now, and it runs strong and is a hell of a tank.

I won't be able to bring this car with me when I go off to college (pretty soon), but I will keep it. I'm thinking of slapping on a roll cage and making it a circuit track car. After all, it has a ton of life left on it!

1994 I BOUGHT ALL THE REMNANTS OF THE AMERCIAN SUNROOF PARTS FROM THE SHADOW CONVERSIONS DONE IN MEXICO. SOME ARE IN MOPAR PACKAGING AND OTHERS ARE NOT AS THESE WERE PULLED OFF THE ASSEMBLY LINE IN TOLUCA MEXICO AND THEN SHIPPED BACK TO THE USA. I WAS TOLD THAT LOTS OF THE PARTS "DISAPPEARED" BEFORE THEY MADE IT TO THE BORDER. FOR SOME REASON CHRYSLER DECIDED TO BRING IT ALL BACK INSTEAD OF LAND FILLING IT IN MEXICO. I GOT WHAT I WANTED AND THE REST GOT LAND FILLED HERE. I HAD BEEN IN TOUCH WITH AMERICAN SUNROOF FOR OTHER REASONS: THEIR WORK ON THE T-TOP AND LIMO CARS OF THE 70s AND 80s SO THEY CALLED ME UP AND THE REST IS HISTORY.

Production for all the Shadow Converts was 40,000 according to John Urso who worked for American sunroof.

I fondly remember my P body from back in the day when I was in high school. 3.0 MitsuPar V6 with the 5 speed. Hunter Green with tan interior (and that awesome plastic fake burlwood accent console). Loved that little guy.

Was hoping to possibly see if the current owner might be on here. It wouldn't be a bad idea for the mods to add another model section for misc. mopars aside from the k-cars.

I'll try and post some pics if I can find them, I have no digital pics on hand.

Cheers!

Hi. New to the forum. Owned a 1990 Shadow 4-dr 2.2 back in the day. Put a lot of miles and memories on it til the body finally disintegrated beyond economical repair in 2002.

Recently acquired a 1991 Shadow 2-dr convertible 2.5 turbo from the original owner. I'll try to get some pics I can post. Car needs some work, hoping to learn from other's experiences on this forum. C-Ya round the campus.

Default 92 Shadow America 4dr

We have inherited a '92 Dodge Shadow America 4dr. Auto with the 2.4L. About 35,000 miles on it. It was a serial Granny car, driven by 3 grandmas before being given to us. Runs pretty good and looks good overall.

The plan is for it to be my daughter's car when she is able to drive.

Will try to post a pic and the original window sticker in the near future.

I have been looking for Shadows over the last 6 months on the road, and I have only seen 2. Wish there was some way to find out how many are still on the road in Michigan.
