Question 1993 Dodge Shadow 2.2L Runs Rough, Then Dies

Full tank of gas. Car will start fine, idle fine. I rev the engine it sounds fine... then soon after it starts choking and then dies. It may or may not start back up and run very rough then die.

Some days I drove the damn thing fine all day, no problems. I am suspecting a clogged fuel filter or fuel pump. I have bought both. The relays are fine (the pump runs when I turn the key.)

Am I going down the right path? And should I por-15 restore the old gas tank, or just pay $60 more for a new tank?

Let me know what you all think. Thanks!

My acclaim had the same basic issue after I installed a new fuel pump & filter. Ended up the pump wasn't holding pressure. Took it in on warranty, got a new one, and all has been well since.
