Is there a way to hook an 83 2.2 to an 88 2.5 reliant trans? the flex plates seem to be different. I have both. What would happen if I redrill the 88 plate? I have a good 83 aries motor and a nice reliant body.

Check to see if the 88 plate will fit the 2.2. I don't recall off hand but it may be just as simple as putting the 2.5 plate on the 2.2
