Default Fuel Sending Unit For 86 Shelby Charger

Where can I find a fuel sending unit for an 86 shelby charger? I have checked rockauto.com, and all of the auto parts stores local to me and they have nothing.

Now my car had two fuel pumps, (an inline pump, and an in tank pump) Is there a conversion kit I can buy? I would use my old sending unit except the car sat for 10 years and the entire inside of the gas tank (sending unit, and fuel pump included) has rusted up.

thanks

I don't think these cars had an inline pump. Sounds like someone added it when the intank one died.

The Shelby Chargers and Omni GLH's had 2 fuel pumps from the factory. Usually a replacement pump from an autoparts store eliminats the external pump which is fine. I would suggest getting a Walbro pump from FWDdperfromance

If you have trouble finding a replacement sending unit, keep in mind that that the 88 thru 90 Omni's with Fuel Injection I believe uses the same sending unit as your Shelby Charger does....
