Not sure on this application but on several I've come across with flange rings they needed to be pressed on or pulled on

with a couple c-clamps.

Thanks Dave for your reply, it's been pressed on as far as it can go, but using the part I have the boot doesn't want to seat and retain grease. I've double checked that it's the correct part.
