Currently has a 2.5 TBI (dead) can get a 2.2 turbo from an old ('87-ish) caravan. Will it work ok? what else do I need besides the engine?

Since the 2.2 T turned out to be a lemon, I decieded to go with a V6 out of a '91 shadow ES in the same yard.

The guy will give me the whole car (still complete) for $300, so I'm gonna grab the whole thing for the swap.

Anything I should know about swapping the V6 into my TBI?

 

From what I remember reading at one time or another, I think you have to swap out the trans, and the ECU, along with the harness. There is more to it than just that, I will try to find another page that explains it like the last one I got for ya later on today. By the way Nice find on the car, altho I only paid 400 for mine :P lol.

I have the strange feeling that I need to change the fuel pump as well. (Not looking forward to that)

 

Just got out of bed and havent had a chance to look yet, but yes I do belive you need to change the fuel pump aswell now that you mention it.
