Jokes aside, I don't know if a Spirit has ever been AWD swapped, but I know someone on another forum AWD swapped an Omni, so it should be doable on a Spirit as well.
IMO It'd be most cost effective to just add some lift/bigger tires to the car and use it as is.

I know I can rally with a fwd car but I got the itch to awd it anyways. It's gonna be more of a runners vehicle than actually racing

Some links for you. I can't find the AWD Omni build currently, but search around on TD, it was done using AWD van parts IIRC.
