I hit the gas and my Car Died
This happened yesterday. First of all I live in WI. It was 3 degrees that day and i was warming my car up for about 10 minutes. I didnt hit the gas and it was idiling like crap. when i started on my way to school i came to a stop in an important intersection, I hit the gas, the car lunged forward and died. I tried to restart it and couldnt. I had to put it in neutral and push across the street into a BP. After School I started it and it ran fine. What could have happed. I think just because i didnt hit the gas as it was warming it up it just got all "carboned up". Let me know what u think could have happened.
No it wasnt misfiring and I just checked the plug gap and cleaned the electrode. And as for the fuel filter, I doubt it is that because I had that replaced 2000 miles ago. And It is not the fuel injector because i drove it today and it ran fine. So your guess is as good as mine. Oh and by the way, my blower fan is not working. I checked the fuse and it wasnt blown. I just dont know what happened. Do you have any clues.
I did go to the mechanic and the car is fixed now. It seems the o-ring around the fuel injector was gone. The mechanic was very confused of where it could have gone. That missing part flooded the engine. He did replace it and it idles like normal now. And as for the blower motor he said it was a soleniod that had gone bad. And the blower works now too. But thanks for the talking. [sm=americanasmiley.gif]
