As most of ya probably know, the transmission in my 93' Shadow is going, and I'am lookin for a new one for it. I've always wanted to put a 5-speed in it, but its an automatic, I'am just curious about how I would be able to put in a 5-speed, in a car that is a 3-speed automatic?

 

Yes it can be done! Ive been lookin into it and thinkin about it for a LONG time (about 2 months after I got mine) and Ive had it for over a year now. here is some info on it, its not perfect nor the best, and its for the V-6 but it gives you an idea of what needs to be done.

If you're knowledgable about cars, this shouldn't be too hard, but if you are planning on paying someone to do it, it might be more cost-effective to just buy a 5 spd Shadow.

 

thanks for the link, looks interesting. Yeah, that'd probably be the best thing, but theres really not very many Dodge Shadows four sale around here, that are five speeds, in my price range, I'am thinkin I might just drive this Shadow untill the tranny completely goes, and get a truck or replace the tranny.
