Getting parts need advice

Default Getting parts need advice

So I hit a beer need a new rad, rad mount, bumper assembly, grill, left front light, and quarter panel. My wagon is a 87 can I use parts from an 81 and can I use a quarter and hood from a 4 door coupe and put them on my wagon

You shouldn't drink and drive. Hitting the beers when driving will get you arrested. . Now, if you hit a Bear, that's different. I got out of the salvage business in '84 so my books stop around 1980. Check with a bone yard that sells parts you pull for older cars. They can tell you what would fit. Mechanical parts like an a/c condensor should be available new. The trim is usually changed every couple of years to keep the looks fresh. I'd say a hood would swap the the fenders and bumper strip may or may not interchange.

Since you're specific on the years, I assume you've found a car. If it's at a salvage yard, ask them what will fit. If you've found a car with a dead engine or transmission being sold for parts, you might be able to swap the dog house.
