1987 Dodge Aries K car
Hi All,
Has anybody had experience repairing the turn signal cancelling feature? My left turn signal will not cancel after I complete the turn. Also, just recently, the left turn arrow on the dash does not light and blink. I would like to fix both the blinking arrow and the cancelling feature, Should I tear it apart or is a new unit available once I remove the steering wheel?
Thanks in advance,
Allan in San Francisco

You MIGHT just have a burned out bulb in the dash. This is about when bulbs were being replaced by leds in the dash. I suspect if you can remove and replace the dash cluster, it will have bulbs in the back. Generally, when I replace one, I replace them all as they are all the same age. As for the switch, that will be the switch needing replacement. As much of a stinker the old cars were to replace the switch, I generally live with it. Now, sometimes you can replace JUST the cam. If that's the case, it just entails pulling the steering wheel. If it's only available as the whole switch, there is a wire harness that goes down the steering tube. That's why it's a stinker to fix.
