Well I guess good things arent meant to last, I drove my car to the store yesterday, and comeing back I was doing 50, and the transmission slipped, and the engine reved up really high. Then I went to my camp thats quite a drive, and it was doing the same thing the entire way there, and way back. It absolutely would not shift unless you put it in neutral and then drive again, then it would clunk into gear.

I'am pretty annoyed with all these transmission problems, they shouldnt go this easy. So I called the mechanic, he said sounds like it needs to be replaced, so I'am gonna put in a rebuilt one that he got.

What mileage is on your tranny and service history?

 

This tranny got a little bit over 186 000, and the only service done has been regular fluid changes, maybe a tune-up or two? I'am getting a rebuilt one put in this comeing week

 

Glad to see that you are getting it fixxed. I pretty much abandoned my shadow, I stripped all my audio equipment from it, the cold air intake and Will be selling it soon. I might sell it to my lil brother as his first car. I Bought a 99 Neon Sport lastnite and I'm loving it, so much more power and MUCH better gas mileage than my Shadow had. The Shadow is rusting out alot worse than I thought it was, otherwise I would keep it and prolly wouldnt have bought the Neon.

 

Thats good man, upgrading from the Shadows. Well I think I might try and sell mine this summer, get a truck.
