Default 2.2L Turbo

My Shadow has the 2.2Litre engine in it, with no turbo, but my friend owns an 85' New Yorker, with a 2.2Litre turbo engine.
Would a turbo off that same engine fit onto my 93' Shadow's 2.2Litre? Thanks

With some modifications, probably.

The question is, though, would it be cheaper (and easier) to just go looking for a 2.2T that's in decent shape and rebuild it then drop it in than to go through all the labor and expense of changing your 2.2n/t over?

That's for you to decide.

I would find it easiest to find a totalled shadow (perferbly rear end totalled) so that you have the ECU and wiring harness aswell as the motor. Either that or find a cheap one and rebuild the motor in that but aswell you will have the harness and ECU. Which are 2 things you will also need, Also if I'm not mistaken you will need the fuel pump from a turbo.
