I put my Shadow in park the other day, and the engine reved up loudy, maybe 4000rpms, it kinda scared me so I shut the engine off, it shook, and I went to start it again and it was fine. Whats going on with my car????? its never done this before.

 

I had almost the same problem but my shadow would rev up high maybe 4000rpms when I nearly tapped the gas and some times automatically accellerate on its own when at a stop sign or red light. what I did that seemed to work for me was change out the fuel regulator which is located on top of the tbi throttle body. hopes it woks for you
