yea i got this old dodge shadow sittin around and was wondering what possible engine swaps there are for it. i was thinkin along the lines of a 4g63 out of an eclipse but dont know **** bout doing the swap if anyone has any helpful hints or insite on what i wanna do lemme know

Well, I couldn't tell you about that engine.
You can read the posts here (theres like 3 of them). That 3.0L will fit into your car.
As far as the what you mentioned, well, for starters, probably rig up new motor mounts, you'd have to get the computer(s) maybe new tranny, etc. I mean, heck, anything is possible. My grandpa said he once saw (or heard about, I don't remember) a Neon with a V-8 shoved in it.

 

the v-6 used in the car was a mitsu so probibly find one of those and swap but what if your engine now? TBI? or EFI?

 

You can stick with factory parts and still have a turbo car. My current DD is 91 sundance RS that use to be a 2.5 tbi and now is a 2.5 turbo from a 89 shadow.

Is the turbo locked or the engine? Getting either one rebuilt would be easier than doing a swap of any kind.
