94 shadow (2 door) trunk wont hold itself open, if you let go of it it will fall down and bonk you in the head. I went to a scrap yard and though I got some good springs because they worked on the car i got them off of but nope they have the same problem as the old ones. Thx

 

Your best bet is to buy them new from a auto parts retailer. Also makes a difference if you have a spoiler or lugage rack. They add weight to the shocks. Every P body I seen in a j yard or bought came with a stick in the rear.

 

Same thing happemed to me. Got a set that held the trunk open in the yard, got home and they didn't work on my car. Buy new they are around $20 each, but worth it.

 

yes the shadow had a pretty nasty problem of a heavy hatch my 5 door was easily fixed with a new set of hatch struts 15 buck and 15 minutes all fixed

 

Mine was doing the same thing, so I got brand new ones at Car Quest, they work fine, when they where new it took a little effort to shut the hatch

 

I needed new ones for my Shadow, i bought them off of e-bay for pretty cheap.
